With the LGBTQ community’s emotions already being tense after an openly transphobic campaign, celebrating a franchise created by a noted transphobe is not reading the room.

Pasadena defeated Mt. San Antonio in a back and forth match that saw all 5 sets being played out this past Wednesday. It was an intense game for both schools, with the Lancers having a strong comeback in the third set with a score of 25-12. For the first time in three years, the Lancers were finally able to beat Mt. San Antonio.

The HBCU caravan has been a tradition at PCC for 3 years now. On Tuesday October 29th PCC hosted their annual caravan event, HBCUish. Although a fairly new tradition, this event exposes Black students to different schools and opportunities across the country. Filled with music, food and dancing, it was definitely an event to remember.
